1. Take a deep breathe

The most common cause for your mind to go blank when solving problems is panic. This could lead to irregular breathing patterns and the lack of oxygen circulating in your body. And while there are no veins and capillaries inside your brain, it still needs a sufficient amount of oxygen to function properly.

So the best way to deal with this is to take a few deep breathes to make sure you remain calm and have sufficient oxygen levels in your body. This should be the first thing you should do to make sure that everything else goes smoothly.

2. Do not hesitate

Hesitation and fear is a common reaction towards something we do not understand. • Compass

Unless you can draw a perfect circle with a diameter equal to what is asked, then you will need this tool just as much as you will need the others. A compass will allow you to draw perfect circles with definite diameters.

• Calculator

The last useful tool you will need is a calculator. This will help you save time by solving complex problems for you in under a second when it would have taken you about minute to solve.

4. Be familiar with the terms

Just like any other branch of Mathematics, Geometry has its own set of specific terms and vocabulary you need to be familiar with. These include terms such as lines, angles, points, shapes, and other things you most likely have knowledge of.

But as you progress in your Geometry lessons, you will most likely encounter new terms such as cylinders, cones, cubes, arcs, chords, and other terms. It would be advisable to be familiar with these terms to avoid any possible confusion in the future.

6. Practice…a lot

It should come to no surprise that the amount of effort you put in into studying a subject will be equal to the results you will get. 7. Take a breather

After practicing extensively and repeatedly studying for a long time, you might feel exhausted. When this happens, it would be a good time to take a break and relax for a few minutes. Remember the 50 minute method. This is where you divide an hour by spending 50 minutes studying and 10 minutes relaxing to give yourself a break.

Taking a break will allow your body to rest and avoid physical fatigue. You will also avoid an possible burnout caused by studying for too long. And once you return to your studies, you will have a brand new perspective about the problem you left unsolved.
