FamilyTutor understands that different families have varying financial situations. When recommending suitable home tutors, you may notice different hourly rates. We do not set these rates; they are determined by each individual tutor based on various factors such as qualifications, experience, and travel distance. Our coordinators ensure that the rates align with current market standards, and they can even assist in negotiating rates that both parties find agreeable. We strive to accommodate your needs and preferences throughout the hiring process.
If you need to reschedule a tutoring session or cancel an appointment, you can negotiate the schedule directly with the tutor. For any changes in the frequency of lessons in the first four weeks, please inform FamilyTutor, and fair adjustments to the commission amount may be made. You can also postpone lessons by notifying FamilyTutor and the tutor at least 24 hours before the next lesson, except for special cases like medical emergencies. Failure to do so may result in compensation to the tutor for their loss of time, usually no less than 50% of one lesson’s fee.
